It might be news to some of you that the NAWP grew from a networking group into an association. In 2013, we approached 21 specially chosen Wedding professionals and gathered their feedback as to what they felt was needed in a national association. Through that research, we laid the foundations for the ethos that we stand by today. Just as there was back then, there are still new businesses, starting up weekly, that undercut, provide an inferior service or product - and even some who never deliver or disappear before the wedding day, often with the funds in their pockets.
The growth of online forums has brought with it the ease of accessibility to clients, without any need for assurance of a business’s quality, ethics or longevity.
So today, more than ever, the NAWP and its membership are essential to growing the awareness of professionalism and integrity in the wedding industry nationally. We will continue to educate engaged couples so that they can feel confident that when they choose a member who has accreditation and bears the NAWP badge, they will provide them with the standards we require. In the same way they would when booking their honeymoon through an ABTA approved agent or airline.

In 2018 we’re bringing you even more exciting new developments. We’ve opened a new client-facing Facebook Group - ‘UK’s Leading Wedding Suppliers – NAWP’; a place for members to connect with clients. This is part of our endeavour to make the NAWP directory more accessible and the place to be for client satisfaction. Our upcoming Discovery Networking events that will take place across the UK will inform new members and bring the NAWP to a wider audience.
