A YEAR IN THE LIVES OF….A CELEBRATION OF OUR MEMBERS’ YEAR

Finally! After nearly two years of preparation, we launched membership in May of this year. We are thrilled at the uptake and pleased to see it will continue to grow, more than steadily, in 2016.

The NAWP is about professionalism and integrity, and the calibre of our members reflects this. We felt it apt to end what has been a successful and exciting year for us with some of the successes and exciting projects that our members celebrated this year.

2015 has been the year that The Abigail Bloom Cake Company has really made its mark in the UK Wedding industry. Abigail has had some exciting and high profile commissions and was also nominated for Best Cake Designer at the Wedding Industry Awards.

Similarly, Amara’s business has grown considerably in 2015 with a huge increase in international clients placing wedding lists with them.

In January, ER Stationery won Bridal Excellence of the Year at the Cornish Brides Awards.

In March, Wickham House hosted a fabulous FAM day for some of the UK’s leading Wedding planners to celebrate opening their doors to weddings and events.

Back in May, John Nassari was selected by the Mandarin Oriental to take part in an exciting and unique backstage project.

In the summer, No4 Hamilton Place hosted a luncheon for Wedding planners and journalists to show off their newly refurbished terrace. The perfect London summer wedding location!

In July, Elizabeth Marsh Floral Design was named as one of the most influential floral designers from around the world by Flowers Across Melbourne Blog.

Also in July, Style and the Bride officially launched their blog with a most stylish event at One Horseguards.

Mary Jane Vaughan Designs is becoming as renowned for her seasonal showcases as her flowers. In August and November this year she hosted interactive showcases displaying their Autumnal and Winter inspirations.

In August, our members The Wedding Insurance Group launched – a unique service that offers insurance to both wedding business and couples planning their weddings.

Also in August, Burlison Photography were commissioned by luxury British country house hotel group, Exclusive Hotels and Venues, to capture their spectacular ‘Taste Of Exclusive’ Event in London’s bustling Borough Market . A pleasant diversion from a busy year of photographing weddings.

In September, Pengenna Manor hosted A Most Curious Wedding Experience, THE wedding event in the SW.

In October, Stuart Wood won at the MPA awards and now boasts the official title of MPA United Kingdom Press, PR & Events Photographer of the Year for 2015/16.

Also in October, Armorial, in association with Thomas Goode, hosted an evening showcasing their stationery on beautiful table displays designed by Thomas Goode.

After a busy year of UK weddings, Neil Horne at Eye Imagine enjoyed photographing this wedding in the beautiful surround of Italy.

In November, The Jockey Club Rooms, celebrated a surprise success at the East of England Wedding Industry Awards, winning the Best Wedding Venue category. They will now compete against all other regional winners in this category with the winner announced at the national awards event on 14th January. Good Luck!

Also in November, Planned2Perfection had a wedding they had designed featured on Style Me Pretty.

In December, Mon Dessert launched their Macaron making kit especially created for Fortnum and Mason.

Also in December, Peboryon Cakes launched their Duchy Collection.

Finally, a ‘shout out’ to the some of the great associations we have made this year and people that have supported us through 2015.

2016 promises to be an even bigger and better year, with lots in the pipeline.
